Looks like the weather is shaping up for a beautiful December weekend in Owensboro, which is great news for all the events planned this weekend. Here’s a run-down:
Owensboro Christmas Show – Over 200 vendor booths featuring Christmas crafts, decor and gifts will be filling the Convention Center expo hall all weekend long.
Reindeer Run 5K– Fundraiser for Carenet. Saturday morning at 9 a.m. from McConnell Plaza behind the Hampton Inn Waterfront.
Hot Chocolate Challenge – Saturday afternoon, Junior Achievement students will be designing and implementing marketing strategies to sell their hot chocolate at the Owensboro Convention Center.
Owensboro Family YMCA Open House – Tours, refreshments, door prizes and more. 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Good Manner’s Club Holiday Afternoon Tea – Kentucky’s Etiquette Lady presents the Holiday Afternoon Tea 3 Saturday afternoon at the Campbell Club from 3 – 5 p.m. (Note: rescheduled from an earlier date.)
Holiday Stroll – A full evening of Christmas themed activities in downtown Owensboro Saturday evening.
The Nutcracker – Owensboro Dance Theater’s annual holiday tradition. Saturday at 7 p.m. at RiverPark Center (Call ahead, it may be sold out).
Preservation Market Days – First weekend of every month. Over 100 vendors, live music and good food. Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday 12 – 5 p.m.
