Philpot racer and 2014 AMA (American Motorcycle Association) Pro SuperSport Champion Hayden Gillim will be spending the next several months criss-crossing the country in his modified van.
This racing season, Gillim partnered with Suzuki and Cycle World to become a Man in a Van With a Plan.
Hayden will be racing in two series consecutively: the MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 road racing series and the AMA Pro Flat Track circuit.
The van is a Nissan NV2500 that has been equipped with a cot, a tool box, and a storage bay to hold two Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superstock racebikes and two 2016 Suzuki RM-Z450 flat-track bikes.
Cycle World will be filming and posting video updates after each race.
A map on the Cycle World website shows the crazy tour schedule, which started at Daytona March 10-11, continued to Austin, Texas April 8-10 and on to Atlanta this weekend. The longest haul is between the last two stops, when Hayden must travel clear across the country from New Jersey Motorsports Park on September 9-10 to Santa Rosa, CA on September 25.
