Dynasty Sports Performance (DSP) and the DSP Soccer Academy will be partnering with Owensboro United’s recreational soccer program beginning this spring.
DSP Soccer Academy will be providing management and soccer training of U4 through U10 programs in cooperation with United.
According to a statement on United’s website, “This partnership reflects our continuing effort to provide quality soccer training at an early age and in a recreational environment.”
Connor Minogue, Director of DSP Soccer Academy, says the goal is to build upon the foundation that United has already created while providing the players with the best environment to develop. “We want these players to develop their soccer skills in a competitive environment. We’re going to mirror other competitive youth leagues that end with a championship weekend,” Minogue said.
Experiencing a competitive environment is the most exciting way to learn and the fastest way to improve, Minogue said. It also helps develop teamwork.
The partnership will allow DSP to assist United in developing a league-based system, as well as training players, developing coaches, keeping score, and offering other administrative assistance.
Registration is open throughout the month of March at owensborounited.com.
The season begins Monday, April 11 with the first games being played Saturday, April 16.
