The parking lots and asphalt road surfaces at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital will be undergoing needed maintenance, with work planned in stages to minimize disruptions to patients, visitors and staff.
This maintenance, which begins on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, will take about 18 work days (weather permitting). Contractor crews will be on-site and working from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. and newly sealed surfaces will need 24 hours to dry and be striped.
For this project, the Pleasant Valley campus has been divided into zones. Each zone must be cleared the day before, allowing crews to come in the afternoon and begin work. After work is completed, zones must remain closed for 24 hours for sealed pavement to dry and be striped. The public A and B parking lots will be done on weekends to minimize impact to the public.
Throughout this project, we encourage those who will visit Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to visit www.owensborohealth.org/parking. This website will be updated daily with information on areas and roadways that will be or are currently closed, and which areas and roadways are now finished and reopened. We will also make information available through local news media outlets, including the print and online editions of the Messenger-Inquirer and through local TV and radio stations.
All drivers are asked to respect cones and barricades by not driving around them, and to take extra care for the safety of work crews and security staff working during this project.
