Owensboro Parks and Recreation is currently taking registrations for the Fall Adult Softball Leagues and Fall Baseball Leagues.
Adult Softball Teams may register for one of the following league nights:
- Wednesday (Co-Ed Intermediate League)
- Wednesday (Co-Ed Recreational League)
- Thursday (Men’s Recreational League)
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We will not hold a team’s spot until team fee has been received. Players must be at least 16 years of age (must have
parental consent if under 18).
Registrations and rosters must be submitted before 5 p.m. on Friday, July 22. The registration fee is $370 per team (Recreational- Co Ed and Men’s) and $320 per team (Intermediate-Co Ed),
which includes NSA sanction fees. Recreational and Intermediate – Co-Ed teams will play on Wednesday evenings and Recreational Men’s teams will play on Thursday evenings at the Owensboro Softball Complex in Jack C. Fisher Park, and are scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 3. Teams are guaranteed 10 regular season games with a seeded, double-elimination tournament.
A Mandatory Coaches meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 27, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administrative Center, located at 1530 McJohnson Avenue.
Owensboro Parks and Recreation is also taking registrations for 2016 Fall Baseball Leagues. Leagues available are listed below:
- Rookie league (machine pitch)……………7-8 year-olds
- Minor league (player pitch league………..9-10 year-olds
- Major league (player pitch league)……….11-12 year-olds
2016 age groups are based upon the child’s age on May 1, 2017. The leagues will teach the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and team sportsmanship.
League play will begin Tuesday, September 6. All games will be played at the Owensboro Softball Complex, located in Jack C. Fisher Park. The registration fee is $52 per player and
includes a team t-shirt and hat. The deadline to register is Friday, August 12. The Coaches meeting will be Thursday, August 18.
