Kentucky Wesleyan College will host Scholars’ Academy, an exciting and challenging week-long immersion experience for high school students who have completed their junior year. The academy will take place June 25 – July 1. Students will be selected through an application process. The program provides residential housing for the week of study along with meals and materials. Participants will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the College upon successful completion of the program. The event is made possible through funding from Canteen Service Company.

Participants will be led by Kentucky Wesleyan faculty and staff in a high-quality academic and social enrichment venue. They will experience college life and hone their leadership skills as they prepare for successful futures. They will also have the opportunity to meet and learn from leaders from the Owensboro area and beyond.

Associate Director of Admissions Matthew Ruark ’09 said, “We will introduce students to the value of the liberal arts experience and the value of community in an engaging, fast-paced environment. Participants will quickly become a family and find their place of belonging.”

See kwc.edu/kwsa for more information and to apply. The application deadline is May 26. Contact Matthew Ruark at [email protected] or 270-852-3125 with questions.
