The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center will be offering several public skating sessions December 19 through January 1 during the holiday season.
Families will enjoy skating to their favorite holiday songs and sipping Peppermint Hot Chocolate holiday specials.
Afternoon and evening sessions will be offered most days, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when the facility will be closed. Session times and fees may vary, however, a special holiday discounted rate will be offered on December 26 from 1-4 p.m. and also on New Year’s Day 1-4 p.m. for only $4 per person.
Parents and/or guardians are welcome to sit and relax in the spacious off-ice area that includes free Wi-Fi and flat-screen televisions. Bring your family and friends over the holidays and join the fun at the coolest place in town.

Dugan Best Recreation Center will have special holiday operating hours:
· Monday-Friday, December 19-23 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
· Saturday-Monday, December 24-26 CLOSED
· Tuesday-Saturday, December 27-31 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
· Monday, January 2 CLOSED.
There are no membership/registration fees or residency requirements to use the recreation center; however parents or guardians will be required to complete a participant information card prior to their child’s first visit. Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 17 years or older.
The Dugan Best Recreation Center is located at 1003 Omega Street and includes a gymnasium, computer and game stations, game room, kitchen, and fitness room.
