The Owensboro Police Department is holding its 4th annual Operation Santa food drive.
We have teamed up with the Elizabeth Munday Center to gather food supplies for those regularly served by the Meals on Wheels program. With this year’s donations by local businesses and department employees, we will be providing food boxes to approximately 280 people within our community.
On Wednesday, December 21st, 2016, at 9 a.m., members of the Owensboro Police Department and their families will gather inside the station’s community room to put together the boxes of goodies. Once assembled, the boxes will be transferred to our makeshift sleighs; police cruisers and SUV’s.
The Owensboro Police Department is thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community; a community that has always shown us great support.
Merry Christmas!
