“I am excited about returning to the hardwood as a head coach again. We have a great group of young men returning which I am looking forward to leading,” stated Skortz. “I want to thank the administration of Brescia University, particularly President Father Larry Hostetter, for entrusting me with the role. We will continue to build on the tradition and success of the program, and bring pride to the University and the Owensboro community.”

Skortz began his coaching career at MSTC as an assistant for Head Coach Mark Wagner before becoming Head Coach for four years. While at MSTC, the program was ranked as high as 6th in the nation at the NJCAA Division II level and the program played in the NJCAA National Regional Tournament every year under Skortz’ s direction.
