You’ll have FUN, FUN, FUN spending quality time with your little one at Owensboro Parks and Recreation’s Cravens Pool Parent/Tot Classes. Come and enjoy an hour of safe and sound swimming time with your toddler and help them become comfortable with the water.
This class will offer instruction in water exploration, bobbing, floating, gliding, and basic water skills. The main goal of this class is to instruct parents or guardians in effective ways to work with toddlers in the water.
One parent or guardian per child is required to be in the water at all times. Swim pants or water diapers are required and water toys are allowed.
The class will take place at Cravens Pool on Saturday mornings, June 11– August 6. The time of the class is 11 a.m. – noon. You do not have to register for this program, but it is $3 per visit when you attend. These classes are for tots’ ages from 6 months – 2 years old.

Learn to Swim
Dive in to the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department’s Learn to swim program. Lessons begin June 27 for children 5 years of age and older.
The deadline to register for Session II is June 17. Classes begin at 5:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. Cost is $45 per session. Fee includes 45 minutes of instruction, 15 minutes of free swim. Fee includes: 2 free Edge Ice Center passes & free swimming on Saturdays at either pool location.
