All eyes will be on the skies over the Ohio River in downtown Owensboro on October 4th as performers showcase vintage warbirds, military jet, and aerobatic demonstrations.
“We are excited to be able to provide another free community event with the 2014 Air Show that will feature a wide array of aircraft,” said Tim Ross from the Cit of Owensboro. “The crowds will get to see a history of aviation with aircraft from WWI all the way up to Vietnam era fighter jets as well as the best parachute demonstration team in the world, the US Army Golden Knights.”
The airshow will take place from 1:00 pm to approximately 3:30 pm on Saturday, October 4.
“We will have a great opportunity to see the planes up close and meet some of the pilots on Friday, October 3 at the airport from 4:00 – 8:00pm. It really will be a unique experience that you don’t want to miss.”
