The eighth annual Dazzling Daylily Festival with Balloons Over the Garden returns to Western Kentucky Botanical Garden June 19-25, 2017. All events take place at WKBG, 25 Carter Road, Owensboro, KY 42301.

Festival Opens
Tuesday, June 20
10:00 AM – Guided Tours of The Daylily Beds – Learn about the history of Daylilies. Tours start in Gazebo. Talk about care of Daylilies. Understand more about Hybridizing Daylilies. American Hemerocallis Society Certified Display Garden. Special tour of the WKBG Seedling Beds
Wednesday, June 21: A Special Day of “B”s
Western Kentucky Botanical Garden has added a special event this year the Dazzling Daylilies Festival specifically to include the early campers at ROMP. On Wednesday, June 21st we will have a daytime line-up of activities that includes a special day of “B’s” :
- Bluegrass– Mike Hobson & Friends with music alongside the daylilies; Rachel Glenn with children’s sing-a-long fun
- Burritos- Food truck offerings from Real Hacienda Restaurant
- Bourbon– With a stop at O.Z. Tyler’s Distillery
- Brushes (& Pallets) – Artists at work with special pieces available for sale
- Blooms & Beauty– The Garden’s large collection of daylilies will be in bloom
- B for Botanical – Meet the Garden’s Mascot
- Bidding on Daylily Naming Rights
It is planned to have shuttle service from Yellow Creek Park to The Garden and O.Z. Tyler.
Admission is only $2 for ROMP visitors, 12 and under are free.
