The first Owensboro Xtreme Business Makeover is underway. Applications are now being taken on the KeeFORCE website, an I.T. leader in western Kentucky for 19 years, who is sponsoring the project.
“We were overwhelmed from day one with the hospitality of this area,” said Joni Goodman, Business Development Manager, at the kick-off this morning. “Every single business we approached about this program said yes right away, which solidified for us that we made the right decision in coming to Owensboro.”
The Xtreme Business Makeover represents a partnership of 20 successful, regional companies dedicated to helping other businesses grow and prosper in the Owensboro area. The project aims to provide one lucky organization with a “business makeover package” to help the winner take their business operations from ordinary to extraordinary.
One business in the Owensboro area will win a Grand Prize that includes free professional goods and services valued at $70,000. The contest is designed to help the winning organization find “the next level of success” for their business.
The contest is open to businesses in Daviess, Hancock and McLean Counties with three or more employees who have been in operation for a minimum of two years as of January 7, 2016. Non-profit organizations and home based businesses are not eligible. The winner will be selected by an independent panel of judges from the region based on demonstrated need, community involvement, and dedication to growing their business in the Owensboro area.
The winning business will be announced in three months.
The 2016 prize package includes valuable business products and services from the following 20 organizations: The Cromwell Group, Dialog Telecommunications, Ebelhar-Whitehead PLLC, EM Ford, First Security Bank, GO Business, Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, KeeFORCE, Greenwell-Chisholm, the Kentucky Mavericks, Lapekas HR, Media Works Advertising, Messenger – Inquirer, Money Concepts, Office Equipment Company, Owensboro Community & Technical College’s Workforce Solutions, Owensboro Convention Center, Red Pixel Studios, Thacker, Hodskins, Searcy & Knight, LLP, and WFIE 14 News.
