Whitesville Elementary School will host a special Christmas Sing-Along at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19 – the last day of school before Christmas break. Students and staff are invited to wear their Christmas pajamas to school that day for a special time of celebrating the spirit of the holidays and the gifts of friendship and family.
“We will gather the whole school together in the gym to end the year with music, singing and laughter,” said Jeremy Stone, WES leader of music instruction.
Janetta Booker, a member of the WES lunchroom staff, will provide musical accompaniment on her guitar as the children and staff join in singing traditional Christmas carols.
Other program highlights include a performance by the Whitesville Wildcat Show Choir, which will lead the student body in singing three songs they recently performed for the City of Whitesville’s second annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
WES students will also “act out” the various gifts featured in the holiday song “The 12 Days of Christmas.”
The program promises to be filled with joy and excitement. Our media partners are invited to join the Whitesville Elementary School family at 9 a.m. Dec. 19 at 9656 Kentucky 54 to share this special celebration with our community.
