Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is sponsoring a talent show called OWENSBORO’S KIDS HAVE TALENT!

Loosely based on the television show, America’s Got Talent, there will be prizes for all participants and larger prizes for the winners. A special text voting system will be used for audience participation as well as live qualified Judges.

The show will have two age categories (12 and under and 13-19) and there will be winners in each age group.

AUDITIONS are OCTOBER 4th and 5th at Trinity Center, 407 West 5th Street, Owensboro, KY. For an audition time, call 683-5003 or email to [email protected].

There will be two talent shows on November 7, 2015. The 6:00 PM show will be for ages 12 and under and the 8:30 PM show will be for ages 13-19 years of age.

For more information, call The Box Office at (270) 683-5333 or go to theatreworkshop.org.

If you didn’t see TWO’s youth production of THE YELLOW BOAT this summer, you will have two more opportunities. The true story of a young boy afflicted with AIDS related complications returns for an encore performance Friday, October 2 and Saturday the 3rd at 7:00 PM. Sponsored by OPEN DOOR UNITARIAN FELLOWSHIP, the show will be at The Empress Theater, 418 Frederica. See this important play and make a difference yourself, by signing up for THE OWENSBORO AIDS WALK. The walk will be Saturday, October 24 at noon, starting at KWC campus.

Also, the American classic, OF MICE AND MEN opens Friday, October 16 at The Empress. John Steinbeck’s beloved story of depression era migrant workers will play 10/16 through 10/24. Evening shows will be at 7:30 PM, with a 2:00 matinee Sunday October 18. The play is kindly sponsored by “A Friend of TWO.”
