Mary Moorhouse has joined First Security Bank in a newly created position as Corporate In House Counsel. Moorhouse has over eight years experience in legal services and was most recently with Daymar College where she served as Director of Legal Services and Director of Benefit Administration and Associate Relations. She also served at Owensboro-based law firms Wilson, Hutchinson, Poteat & Littlepage as well as Sullivan, Mountjoy, Stainback & Miller.
A graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice, Moorhouse also received her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. She is a member of the Daviess County Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association.
Moorhouse will serve as primary contact with banking regulators and will assist in other strategic matters within the company, including researching banking-related federal and state laws and regulations.
First Security Bank is a $570 million asset bank with 11 banking centers in Owensboro, Bowling Green, Franklin and Lexington, Kentucky, as well as Evansville and Newburgh, Indiana.
