Owensboro/Daviess County and the surrounding region has been experiencing snow showers with an occasional winter mix for most of the day.
Keith Todd, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Public Information Officer, says Kentucky Highway Crews are responding.
“Crews are out spot-treating in Daviess, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Union, and Webster Counties. Crews will remain on alert in Caldwell, Christian, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, and Ohio Counties until the snow activities stop.”
Motorists should use appropriate caution when they encounter snow covered roadways, Todd said.
Snow is moving out of the area. The National Weather Service in Paducah predicts the snow to be ending around 8 p.m. this evening.
