Spending time with family and friends is an important part of our lives and Owensboro Parks and Recreation provides several areas that are available for private rentals for your special occasion.
Listed below are private spaces we have available in various size accommodations for birthday parties, family reunions, baby showers, wedding showers, or other group gatherings.
Smothers Park
- The OVERLOOK is located at the foot of Frederica Street with breath-taking views and lighting
- the EVENT LAWN is a beautiful green area located on the west side near the signature fountain
- the ALLEN STREET PAVILION location overlooks the Ohio River
- There are also various KIOSKS locations available for rent as well.

Dugan Best Recreation Center
- Kitchen room holds 56 people. $65 for the first hour/$30 for each additional hour
- Gymnasium holds 235 people. $75 for the first 2 hours/$35 for each additional hour
- Whole facility $105 for the first 2 hours/$50 for each additional hour
