Daviess County High School will hold a reception to honor DCHS’s state speech champions, seniors CeCe Phillips and Max Smith, and the entire DCHS speech team for capturing the KHSSL team excellence award. The reception is Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 6 pm in the school’s auditorium.
The public is invited and they can expect performances, remarks and light refreshments.
CeCe Phillips captured the Kentucky High School Speech League state championship title in storytelling on Saturday, March 11 in Lexington.
Max Smith won the state champion title in Extemporaneous Speaking at the Kentucky Catholic Forensic League tournament on March 4.
DCHS won 6th place at the KCFL tournament.
At the KHSSL state tournament, DCHS finished 15th and received a team excellence award.
