The City of Owensboro and Kentucky Legend®, a division of Specialty Foods Group LLC, have announced a comprehensive partnership that expands the existing partnership with the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department, including the renaming of the four fields at the Owensboro Softball Complex in Jack C. Fisher Park.  The Owensboro Softball Complex fields’ will now be named Kentucky Legend.

“This is an unprecedented partnership for us that merge the Owensboro Softball Complex with a very popular national brand,” Recreation Facilities Manager, Chris Cary said.  “Kentucky Legend, shares our mission to not only serve the citizens of Owensboro, but the state of Kentucky as well.  The Owensboro Softball Complex has a reputation of hosting some of Kentucky’s biggest baseball and softball tournaments, including Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s State Softball Tournament.  What a great opportunity it is for each organization to grow their brands through the many national and state tournaments that the complex hosts every year.”

Brooklyn Maple, Director of Marketing for Kentucky Legend, adds, “We are privileged to partner with the City of Owensboro on this project. Fisher Park has brought many people to Owensboro and to have Kentucky Legend’s name associated with this outstanding complex is truly an honor for our business.”

The 3-year agreement is effective immediately.  In the agreement, the Owensboro Softball Complex concessions will feature products from the company’s popular brands such as Kentucky Legend, Artisan Crafted Series, and Field.  Of course, Field is the official hot dog of the ballpark!
