TODAY.com writer Chris Serico posted an article about the backlash against reality TV star Kylie Jenner, who posed in a wheelchair for a controversial cover photo for Interview magazine.
Owensboro’s Leah Abell, who has cerebral palsy and therefore depends on a wheelchair for mobility, is quoted in the article as one of several people who spoke out on social media against Jenner’s choice for the cover photo.
When asked by TODAY.com what she would tell Jenner if they could talk face-to-face, Abell said, “I would ask her to hang out with me for a day so she can understand why that picture was inappropriate to handicap people.”
