Thanks to a tremendous donation from R&B Foods (formerly Unilever), the Kentucky State Police Post 16 in Henderson collected the largest amount of food during KSP’s fifth annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive. R&B donated 9 1/2 pallets of various signature sauces into a semi-trailer, which was then hauled by Hazelwood’s Towing of Henderson to the Tri-State Food Bank in Evansville.
“This truly exemplifies that great people work and live right here in the tri-state,” said Trooper Corey King. “With the collective help of R&B, Hazelwood Towing, Tri-State Food Bank and the Kentucky State Police, this will make a huge impact on area hunger. Hunger knows no boundaries so we are humbled to partner with Tri-State Food Bank to assist us in being good stewards of this donation,” King added.
Last year’s Cram the Cruiser campaign collected more than 62 tons of food statewide. R&B’s donation added nearly 20,000lbs to KSP Post 16 total this year.
