The Owensboro Police Department will be hosting an informative presentation at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on Thursday, July 30th, 2015. This presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The topics that will be discussed will include:
Active Shooter –
• Police response to an active shooter / mass homicide event
• Prevention and response planning to active shooter / mass homicide events
• Policy development to aid in prevention of these incidents
Crisis Intervention – A Crisis Intervention Team instructor will present information on how to successfully communicate with potentially violent individuals suffering from mental illness.
