The Kentucky Mavericks are Back!!! In less than 60 days, the Kentucky Mavericks will open their second season at the Owensboro Sports Center. The 2017 Season will run from January through April.
The Kentucky Mavericks are well known for selecting players from their Rookie/Free-Agent Camp. Last season, in the Mavericks inaugural year, the Mavericks picked up five players, including Matthew Karn of Owensboro, along with Gerard DeVaughn, Cordarius Johnson, Jerrel Lewis, Dwayne Lathan.
The Mavericks organization held their second annual Rookie/Free-Agent Camp this past weekend. This camp again proved to be very successful, with the addition of two new players who will join the training camp roster in late December.
Joining the Mavericks is Jeremy Burright of Albany, Oregon. Jeremy recently finished his college career at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington. He is 6’6″ with a 40″ vertical. Jeremy has played three years in the Eurobasket combine and has played in Germany as well.
Also joining the Mavericks is Chris Watson, a forward from Daytona Beach, Florida who recently finished his college career right here in 
Kentucky at the University of Pikeville. Chris is 6’8″ with a 42″ vertical. Chris has played in Mexico, France and most recently in Iraq.
Recent draft selections, Marcus Fillyaw and C J Blackwell, from Kentucky Wesleyan College, will also join the Training Camp Roster in December. A complete list of athletes will be placed on the Mavericks website soon. Training Camp Roster athletes will report to Owensboro Tuesday, December 27th, for the Training Camp.
Season tickets are now open to the public for purchase. Season tickets are sold in all reserved chair back seating areas and are $150 per seat plus applicable ticket fees. A season ticket is good for 12 regular season home games. Season holders receive preference on all post season Playoffs and Championships. Single game tickets will be on sale starting January 2nd and range from $6 to $16 depending on location and age of customer. To purchase tickets go to mavup.com and navigate to the “Tickets” tab.
The Mavericks offer many levels of sponsorship involvement. Mavericks games offer a high energy family friendly affordable environment. Sponsorships range from $250 per game to $10,000 per season. The Mavericks Training Center, is located at 817 West First Street , Owensboro, KY, (Ohio River Front) and utilizes the former Executive Tennis Center facility. The Training Center hosts other events such as Camps, Private Training , Birthday Parties , and much more.
