The Owensboro Convention Center hosts its first “Spotlight Series” concert this Friday, January 23rd with a special performance by Marty Brown (America’s Got Talent) from 7-9pm. The event is FREE and open to the public. Come early and enjoy happy hour specials from 5-7pm. Show starts at 7pm.
The Spotlight Series is a free concert series hosted by the Owensboro Convention Center to provide great music by up-and-coming artists. Cash bars will be available.
Originally from Maceo, Brown signed a recording contract with MCA records in 1991 and recorded three country albums in the ‘90s. He also co-wrote the Tracy Byrd hit “I’m From the Country.” In 2013, Brown resurfaced in the public eye when his audition on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” performing a rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love,” went viral. The video of Brown captivating the audience and impressing the show’s judges has since garnered more than 4 million views on YouTube.
