Kentucky Mavericks released an email and post on their website today stating the organization is ceasing operations.
An email released by the Mavericks states: “Mr Nelson, owner of The Kentucky Mavericks, has made a decision to cease basketball operations in Owensboro.
The organization would like to thank each and every one of you for your overwhelming support of our organization over the past two seasons!”
The message on their website homepage says: “The Kentucky Mavericks organization is ceasing operations. We are very thankful to the Owensboro community as well as the Shreveport, LA community for welcoming and supporting us over the last four years.”
