A new divorce ministry begun by the Catholic Diocese of Owensboro is kicking off with an event in Owensboro.
The Offices of Family Life and Tribunal are bringing nationally-known author and speaker, Rose Sweet, to Owensboro on Friday, April 22 to talk about marriage, divorce, remarriage, annulments and more.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Tina Kasey, Director of Communications for the Diocese of Owensboro, says anyone who is divorced or separated and anyone with friends or family members who are divorced or separated is encouraged to attend.
Rose Sweet is an author and recognized authority on the pastoral issues surrounding relationships, divorce healing, annulments, and remarriage. She is a frequent guest on radio and television and is a keynote speaker who has given hundreds of presentations, including at the 2015 World Meeting of Families.
The presentation will be held Friday, April 22, 2016, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Saints Joseph & Paul Parish Hall, 609 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303. The parish hall is across the street from the church. Check-in time is 6 p.m.
Online registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
Sweet will also present a training on Saturday, April 23 for priests, deacons, directors of education, and catechists.
