The gas station at Meijer officially opens Thursday, April 19, 2016, according to Public Relations Manager, Joe Hirschmugll.
Doors to the supercenter open May 19. Weekly specials will be offered when the store opens, but Meijer will offer special promotions and events to commemorate the store’s grand opening celebration beginning May 22.
The opening of the gas station is great news for Owensboro Catholic Schools “SCRIP” participants. Meijer is participating in the SCRIP program and will be offering a 4% rebate. The OCS Scrip office is already selling Meijer cards in $25, $50, $100, $250, and $500 denominations.
The Evansville and Owensboro locations are the first of nine new stores Meijer is opening in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Wisconsin this year.
