Peacocks & Pearls Boutique and Great Harvest Bread Company announced today that they will be the first two tenants in the Lake Forest Town Center under construction on Highway 54 (near Miller’s Mill Road).  Pictured above : Deanna Johnson from Peacocks and Pearls, Greg Garrard and Alan Hancock of Great Harvest Bread Co.

“I’m really excited to be next to Great Harvest,” said Peacocks & Pearls owner Deanna Johnson. “And I love that this building has an overhang so we can have sidewalk sales.” More parking and two entrances and exits in the parking lot were an added bonus.

“We decided to move out here because 75% of our deliveries were on this side of town,” Great Harvest owner Greg Garrard explained. “We’re hoping to catch the morning traffic coming into town from 54 and on the way home after work.” Garrard says the new location will have a café feel and will be serving more coffee selections like expressos and cappuccinos. It will still have bread ovens, but the main ovens will remain at the Frederica location. “We’ll be offering made to order salads and sandwiches, as well as hot soups and catering services like our Frederica store.” The new location will also have more seating, holding up to 70 inside and 20 outside on the patio.

More space is also appealing to Johnson. “We’re nearly doubling our retail space, and we will also have more dressing rooms, so there will be no more waiting in line for dressing rooms.”
Peacocks & Pearls hopes to open at the new location May 1st. Great Harvest hopes to open in mid-May.
