The Foundation for Daviess County Public Schools is currently accepting nominations for the organization’s Distinguished Alumnus 2017 award.
From the public, school district, and Alumni Committee nominations, the Foundation Board of Directors will select a graduate from Apollo High School and a graduate from Daviess County High School to be honored at a reception at Apollo High School on October 27, 2017, at 5:30 p.m.
Both Distinguished Alumni are expected to speak to the senior class at their respective schools during the week prior to the reception and will receive a memento of the occasion at the Apollo/Daviess County Football game.
Nominations from the public will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on June 2, 2017.
To be eligible for the Distinguished Alumnus honor, nominees must have graduated from Apollo High School or Daviess County High School at least 15 years ago (Class of 2002 or earlier), have become successful in their chosen field and have given back to their community.
