Diamond Lake seems to get busier every year, adding new activities and creating new events.
Recently, WBKR announced “Camp Country,” where the WBKR crew is taking over the campground for an entire weekend of live country music, cornhole tournament, Sadie Hawkins dance, bonfire, and a Game Show inside the Good Times Theater.
And that’s just one example of many.
Why do events like that keep popping up at Diamond Lake? Said Benefield, “WBKR has a great partnership with Diamond Lake. They host several annual events for us, including our Battle for the Big O finale and The Great Pumpkin Smash, and they’re the perfect hosts for a local camping event. They have everything we need to pull off a WBKR-themed camping event – bonfire area, dance pavilion, go-kart track and a theatre!”
Janice Smith, one of the owners of Diamond Lake, says their partnership with WBKR, like so many other partnerships in the Owensboro/Daviess County community, is a win-win.
“We love doing community events, and we want these partnerships to continue,” she said.
