Starting Monday, March 21, a contractor with CSX Railroad will begin work on rail crossings throughout the City of Owensboro.
This work will take place in two phases with multiple streets closing at one time. CSX Railroad will post signs in advance of work on major streets and intersections.
The Phase I schedule is as follows:
· Jackson Street and Hall Street will be closed from Mon, March 21 until Thurs, March 31.
· Sweeney Street will be closed from Tues, March 22 until Thurs, March 24.
· Daviess Street and Allen Street will be closed from Wed, March 23 until Fri, March 25.
· Frederica Street will be closed from Mon, March 28 until Thurs, March 31.
· George Street will be closed from Tues, March 29 until Thurs, March 31.
· 7th Street will be closed from Wed, March 30 until Thurs, March 31.
The closures will only affect the portion of the street that is connected to the railroad. Please use caution and attention in these areas. Appropriate detours will be posted.
