“Cruise In” to the Library Saturday

You have to admit, the Daviess County Public Library is definitely not afraid to try new things. A car show at the library?  Why not?  Anything to get people to come to the library is a good thing.    Don’t scoff at this car show idea – last year over 30 cars showed up and this year’s cruise in is likely to be even bigger, especially if the weather is nice.  Anytime the Sunset Cruisers are involved it’s a good turnout.   So for all you car enthusiasts out there, if you want to come see some hot rods up close, drop by the library between 2-6 this Saturday.

Word on the street is that the Unscripted2 film school series has been filling up quickly.  The September 20 session was full, and the September 27th session is already full as well.  Registration for the October 18th session opens September 26th, so if you’re interested call early.  It’s been a team effort.  Library Director Jim Blanton has been working closely with PJ Starks on the Volumes of Blood Anthology, which is being filmed during Unscripted.  Staff member Wesley Johnson is in charge of the Twitter account.  Leslie McCarty and Courtney Hatley are making a behind the scenes documentary of the film project.
