The City of Owensboro is adding a new spring/summer middle school baseball league this year. Deadline for registering is this Friday, March 31, 2017. T-ball registration is also Friday. Details are as follows:
T-Ball Registration
Do you have a little one who has been asking to play T-ball, Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department is now taking registrations for its annual T-ball league. Players 3-6 year olds will learn how to bat off the tee, throw, catch, and field a ball and engage in team sportsmanship.
The league begins in May through July 14. All games will be played at the Owensboro Softball Complex located in Jack C. Fisher Park. The 3-4 year old league will play on Mondays or Tuesdays evenings. The 5-6 year old league will play on Thursday evenings. Game times will be at 5:45 p.m. or 6:50 p.m. for each league and will vary each week.
The registration fee is $56 per child. We are offering a Sibling Discount of $10 per child per for each additional sibling registered after the first child who resides in the same household. This discount is not applicable to scholarship campers. The deadline to register is March 31. Each child will receive a team T-shirt and hat. It is recommended you register early for this fun and extremely popular program.
2017 Spring Middle School Baseball League
Our NEW Spring/Summer Middle School baseball league taking place at the Owensboro Softball Complex is sure to knock it out of the park with a fun competitive atmosphere. This league will run May through July. Games will be on Monday-Thursday nights with two games per week.
Registrations and rosters must be submitted before 5 p.m. on Friday, March 31. The registration fee is $500 per team or $50 per individual. Registration includes two uniform shirts and a hat. Players must be 12, 13, or 14 years old as of March 31, 2017. You may register as an individual or team. There may be up to 14 players per team. Participants and teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
