Brescia University is hosting a series of events to help educate the local community on voting in November. These events are free and open to the public.
The events kicked off on Monday, October 17 with a candidate forum for individuals running for the Kentucky House of Representative seats in the districts in and surrounding Daviess County.
The next event will take place on Thursday, October 20 for candidates vying for the Daviess County Family Court Judicial position that will be elected for the district that includes the local community will participate in a candidate forum. The Daviess County Bar Association is cosponsoring this event.
Candidates that will be present are:
- Clifton Boswell,
- Susan Montalvo-Gesser,
- Julie Hawes-Gordon,
- and Angela Thompson.
Cheryl Cureton, President of the Daviess County Bar Association, and Nickole Durbin, Brescia University Political Science major, will be the moderators for the forum.
The forum will be held at 7 p.m. and will take place in Taylor Lecture Hall located in the Science Building on Brescia University’s campus. Parking is available on surrounding streets and in the lot located off St. Ann.
