Owensboro Parent Magazine’s second annual Arctic Adventure kids fun festival presented by Independence Bank returns to the Owensboro Convention Center December 30-31, 2016.
During Arctic Adventure, the expo hall of the Owensboro Convention Center is transformed into an indoor, polar playground full of Arctic-themed inflatables, interactive obstacles, and other ice-free attractions sure to thrill toddlers and tweens alike.
The adventure begins with a brief orientation at “basecamp” with our fearless guide, “Frostbite Fred,” who leads participants on a no-chills-just-thrills expedition. Frostbite and his crew learned a lot from last year’s expedition, so Arctic Adventure 2016 is going to be even more exciting!
Attractions include Snowzilla (30 ft tall inflatable slide), SnowMazing (inflatable maze), Everest Climb n’ Slide (inflatable ice castle with double-sided slide), Igloo Obstacle Course, Avalanche Cliff Jump (inflatable free-fall), King of the Mountain, a Mechanical Snowboard, two Snowball Pits, Independence Bank’s “Arctic Express” Train Ride, ice sculptures, and more.
Fun is the ultimate goal at Arctic Adventure, so sessions are designed with families in mind. Parents purchase tickets for whichever session is most convenient. Times are staggered throughout Friday and Saturday. (See below). Each session is an hour and a half in length, with limited entry to prevent overcrowding and ensure shorter lines for maximum fun!
As a special bonus, the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is giving a FREE general admission ice skating pass for the Edge Ice Center to each Arctic Adventure ticket holder.

Tickets are $15 for ages 3-17 and $5 for adults. Children 2 and under are FREE! Early Admission Entry, which allows entry into your session 30 minutes early, is also available for an additional $10. (Early admission is limited to 100 tickets.)
