The Owensboro Convention Center, proudly managed by Spectra Venue Management, is excited to announce a special event coming in January. The Arctic Adventure Kids Fun Festival presented by One Health Pediatrics will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 and Sunday, January 3, 2016. This indoor polar playground will be full of activities for kids of all ages!
This unique event, created by Owensboro Parent Magazine, is divided into six, 2-hour sessions each day. Each session will allow families to participate in fun, arctic-themed activities for all ages including the 90 ft. inflatable, “Snowzilla” slide presented by One Health, a mechanical “Snowboard” attraction presented by Champion Ford, the “Toboggan” tunnell presented by Phil’s Custom Cabinets, the “SnowMazing” inflatable maze presented by Owensboro Dermatology, the “Frozen” rock wall presented by Kentucky Mavericks, a “Glacier” ride simulator presented by WEVV and much more!

The Arctic Adventure will begin with a brief orientation at “basecamp” with your guide, Frostbite Fred. He will then lead you on the no-chills-just-thrills expedition through the “snowcapped” expo halls of the Owensboro Convention Center. When the “avalanche warning” sounds, follow Frostbite Fred into the “cool down zone” for even more fun and some hot cocoa!
All Arctic Adventure activities are included in the $15 entry fee for kids ages 3-17. For a limited time, use the coupon on the ad in the November issue of Owensboro Parent magazine to save $3 on each entry fee. Adults and those under 3 years of age are free. Adults must accompany at least one child with a ticket, even if they are 2 and under. Early Admission Entry, which allows entry into your session 30 minutes early, is also available for an additional $10.
For each Arctic Adventure ticket holder, the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is giving a FREE general admission skate pass for ice skating at the Edge Ice Center.
