According to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District, the contractor has some additional finish work that can be competed over the next week with limited daytime lane restrictions in localized areas. This includes placing edge line rumble strips and completing a number of small checklist items.
“Special thanks to all of the commuters in Owensboro who have heroically endured a lot of detours and traffic restrictions since work started back in March. Thank you for your patience.” said the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2 post. “This was the first major rehabilitation of US 60 around Owensboro in more than 45 years. With a little luck, it will hopefully be another 45 years or more before we have to do this again.”
