The City of Owensboro invites the region to the Owensboro Air Show Saturday and Sunday, September 11-13, 2015. The weekend’s activities are as follows:
Friday, September 11 (4:00 PM – 8:30 PM) – static display and nighttime performances at Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport (admission is $2.00 per person; kids 10 and under are free). Read about free admission for military and first-responders here.
Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13 -1:00 p.m. – Owensboro Air Show over the Ohio River with public viewing locations along the riverfront with vendors. Read about the C18 Fighter Jet here and the other performers here.
The Glover Cary Bridge will be closed on the following days and times:
- Friday, September 11 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 12 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, September 13 from 2:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
In addition, the bridge will be open for the public to walk across the bridge from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12.
Please note that the English Park boat ramp will close from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
