The H.L. Neblett Community Center invites you to attend the “Unity Ball” to support participating non-profits and help fund the cost of their annual “Youth Unity Festival” to be held in August 2017 at Moreland Park.
The Unity Ball will be held at the Owensboro Convention Center on Saturday, April 15th. The doors will open at 6pm. Performances, including an intermission, will be between 7-9pm, with the closing at 10pm.
About the event
The purpose of this event is to bring a collaborative group of community organizations/non-profits together to unite all people. The event is a black tie optional Ball open to everyone and includes a cash bar with heavy hors d’oeuvres. Entertainment will be by IU Soul Revue, a jazz and Motown ensemble from the Indiana University African American Arts institute.
Tickets
Thanks to many generous event sponsors, the remaining individual tickets are now $20 and will be available at the door. But Neblett Center Director, Rick Searcy, says at the time of this posting only around 70 tickets are available.
“We had such a tremendous response from our sponsors that we were able to drop the ticket price this week. We didn’t want the ticket price to keep anyone away because we want everybody to be able to come and enjoy the event,” Searcy said.
Proceeds from the Unity Ball support the Youth Unity Festival, a free community event for all children in Owensboro to be held in August. Owensboro Living will keep you posted as details are available.
