If you missed the Volumes of Blood Anthology movie premier in March, the Theater Workshop of Owensboro is presenting a two night screening on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th. But be advised, this may be your last chance to see the movie in Owensboro. Filmmaker PJ Starks says interest in the movie has been exploding and several distributors are discussing a distribution deal.
Already there have been over 40 very positive reviews of the movie. The latest buzz is the Montreal HorrorFest announced it will be screening Volumes of Blood at their fest, and several other movie festivals have contacted Starks about screening V.O.B. at their festivals as well.
“The response has been overwhelming,” Starks admits. “This has gone way beyond what any of us had ever imagined. But I don’t have any expectations, really, so I’m just along for the ride. So far, the journey has just been incredible.”
Volumes of Blood is an anthology of five different short films which was produced in partnership with the Daviess County Public Library’s Unscripted Film School. (Read Owensboro Living’s previous article about the project here.) In total, over 100 local, regional, and national talent were involved in the project.
The film will be playing two nights at TWO’s 407 West 5th Street location. Showtime is 7pm both nights. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $5.
