Smothers Park is the perfect place to bring your family and friends to have fun and enjoy a hot chocolate from the concession stand on the riverfront! The concession stand will be open during Christmas Break Saturday, December 21 through January 3 (closed December 25).

The Concession stand will be open December 21-January 3 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., closing early on December 24 and 31 at 4 p.m. and closed all day on December 25.
Concession stand hours may vary depending on weather conditions and special events.

Edge Ice Center Christmas Break Schedule:
The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center will be celebrating the upcoming holiday season with special public ice skating sessions beginning:
- December 21,22 and 23: 12-4 p.m. & 7-10 p.m. $5
- 24 Christmas Eve: CLOSED
- 25 Christmas Day: CLOSED
- 28, 29 and 30: 12-4 p.m. & 7-10 p.m. $5
- 31: 12-4 p.m.; 6-9 p.m.; & 10 p.m.-1 a.m. $5 (New Year’s Eve Glow Skate)
- January 1: 12-4 $3
Parents and/or guardians are welcome to sit and relax in the spacious off-ice area that includes free Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions. Bring your family and friends over the holidays and join the fun at the coolest place in town.

Dugan Best Christmas Break Schedule:
Dugan Best Recreation Center will be open noon until 8:00 p.m. during Christmas Break, December 21- December 31. We will be closed on: December 24, December 25, December 27, and January 1.
Dugan is located at 1003 Omega Street the center’s amenities include a gymnasium, a fully equipped fitness room, and computer stations. Games and activities will be scheduled daily.
Normal operating hours while school is in session are as follows:
- Monday – Friday – open 2:30 to 7 p.m.
- Saturday – open noon to 8 p.m.
- Sunday – Closed
