It started with Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year for major retailers. Then “Cyber Monday” was created to boost online sales. In 2010, American Express started promoting “Small Business Saturday” which has since generated billions of dollars in revenue for local small business.
In support of Small Business Saturday, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce is supporting local small businesses through their “SHOP SMALL, BUY LOCAL” Check-In Card campaign. 51 Owensboro business will be participating. Get your card punched by five participating businesses on November 29th and you will be entered to win a $250 cash prize!
Check-In Cards can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce or any of the participating businesses. Return your completed Check-In Card to the Chamber office by Friday, December 5, 2014 to be entered in the drawing. The winner will be drawn on Monday, December 8, 2014.
