Here’s your chance to party like a rock star and raise money for CASA at the same time!
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Ohio Valley is presenting their “Rock the House” fundraising event at the Owensboro Convention Center on Saturday, September 26, from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Money raised will be used to benefit the nearly 700 abused and neglected children in Daviess and Ohio Counties.
The evening includes live entertainment by Owensboro’s very own Larry Maglinger and Infatuation, delicious food and beverages, Live and Silent Auctions, and a 50/50 Raffle. In addition, a contest will be held for “Best Dressed Rock Star” so come dressed as your favorite artist — Rod Stewart, Sonny and Cher, KISS, etc.—and rock the night away!
“We are excited to host this event for the hundreds of children in our community who suffer abuse and neglect daily,” said Tammy Maglinger, Chair of the Ohio Valley CASA Board. “We strive to ensure that every child’s basic needs are met and that they are given an opportunity to succeed.”
Tickets for “Rock the House” are $45.00 in advance and $55.00 on the day of the show. Tickets go on sale on Monday, August 17 at 10:00 am and can be purchased at the Owensboro Convention Center or online at www.owensborotickets.com or www.casaofohiovalley.org.
CASA for Children is a network of 949 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates—empowered directly by the courts—offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s right and needs are being attended to while in foster care. Volunteers stay with children until they are placed in loving permanent homes. For many abused children, a CASA volunteer is the only constant adult presence in their lives.
