Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce’s Red, White and Blue presented by AT&T is Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CST at the People’s Square on the Daviess County Courthouse Lawn.

United States Senator Rand Paul and Challenger Lexington Mayor Jim Gray are both confirmed to speak.  All other State House Candidates except for Jim Gooch will speak.

Red White and Blue is a non-partisan, family friendly event hosted by the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce with presenting sponsor AT&T.  It is a culmination of the Chamber’s GO Vote!!! Campaign.

The purpose of GO Vote!!! is to encourage all eligible voters to vote.  “Exercising the right to vote is not only a privilege, it is an obligation,” said Candance Castlen Brake, President and CEO.  “The Chamber wants all citizens to participate in the process.  Owensboro is often disregarded in statewide conversations.  In order to have a seat at the table, we need to demonstrate that we are paying attention. Voting is a fundamental way for citizens to be able to unite and give Owensboro a voice.”

Red, White and Blue is an opportunity to meet the major party candidates for federal and state offices and to hear from each about their positions and policy initiatives.  The Mayor of Owensboro, Owensboro City Commission candidates, and Daviess County Family Court candidates are also on the program.

The event begins promptly at 4 p.m. with the Family Court candidates.
