Donatos Pizza today announced the opening of Donatos Pizza West Parrish on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
The new restaurant is owned and operated by Owensboro residents and new franchise partners Sean Byrne and Mark Riney. Principals at TriState Pizza LLC, Byrne and Riney, are established business owners in Owensboro and look forward to bringing Donatos premium pizza, salads, and subs to the community.
“We are excited to bring Donatos to Owensboro,” said Byrne. “This is our first store and will be our flagship store. Our location allows us to serve the west side of town that has had limited options in the past while also providing a casual dining opportunity for the entire area.”
Donatos features the Edge-to-Edge® pizza, created by Jim Grote who founded Donatos Pizza in 1963. Donatos and its franchise partners operate 157 restaurants in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. Donatos’ products are proudly served in more than 15 sports and entertainment venues in the states it serves.
The new location features a contemporary and spacious dine-in experience, and also offers the company’s award-winning online ordering at donatos.com for order-ahead pickup and delivery options. Donatos Pizza West Parrish’s 2,800-square-foot store located at 2601 West Parrish Avenue, in the West Parrish Shopping Center. This store will employ 50 full-time and part-time associates.

In addition to the welcoming atmosphere and quality ingredients, Donatos’ commitment to giving back to the community and supporting local nonprofits is already a cornerstone of this new location. The Owensboro Autism Network and the Wendall Foster Center were both selected to receive $250 pre-opening donations, while the store also partnered with Owensboro Catholic High School on a fundraising lunch that raised $1,050.
The menu features Donatos’ famous Edge-to-Edge® pizza, with toppings loaded from one edge to the other, all atop a layer of aged provolone cheese. Each large pepperoni pizza boasts 100 pieces of pepperoni, and customers can mix and match from a variety of 25 fresh toppings that are hand cut daily. Donatos Pizza West Parrish will also serve fresh salads, oven-baked subs and boneless or traditional baked chicken wings that are available naked, sauced or dry-rubbed.
