Paving Planned Along Highways in County

Paving planned along KY 279, KY 554, KY 815, & KY 2156 in the coming weeks.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans asphalt paving along KY 279, KY 554, KY 815, & KY 2156 in Daviess County in coming weeks.

Motorists can expect to encounter work zone lane restrictions at the following locations:

KY 279
From milepoint 0.0 at the KY 815 intersection extending northward to mile point 5.101 near the intersection with Stephens Road, a distance of 5.1 miles.

KY 554
From milepoint 0.0 at the Daviess-McLean County Line extending northward to the KY 816 intersection at mile point 0.963, a distance of just under one mile.

KY 815
From milepoint 0.0 at the Daviess-McLean County Line extending northward the the KY 1514 intersection at mile point 2.114, a distance of just over 2 miles.

KY 2156/May Road
From mile point 0.0 at the Daviess-McLean County Line extending northward to KY 559 at mile point 0.675, a distance of just over ½ mile.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

Yager Materials, LLC, is the prime contractor on this $562,624 group paving project. The target completion date is June 30. 2017.
