Owensboro, Kentucky native Lucas Stauffer has been drafted in the second round of the Major League Soccer SuperDraft to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Stauffer’s journey to professional soccer was through Daviess County Youth Soccer, Owensboro United Soccer Club, FC Evansville, and Sportstutor to Louisville United, Shattuck, and on to a collegiate career at Creighton University.
Lucas is the son of Ty Stauffer who owns and operates SportsTutor Futsal Academy in Owensboro.
