“Saturday evening’s Owensboro Symphony season finale will have something for everyone! There’s nothing like hearing the celebrated William Tell Overture live: it’s an incredible tour-de-force! Our awesome OSO Chorus, Kentucky Wesleyan Singers and soloists will perform the beautiful and expressive “Coronation Mass” by Mozart. Those into New Age music will appreciate the Mysterious Mountain by Armenian/American composer Hovhanness-it is as soothing as spring rain, and to top it off we will present the Pines of Rome, complete with off-stage brass. It ends with a finale that will knock your socks off…” said Nick Palmer, OSO Music Director and Conductor.
Pre-concert activities begin at 6:45 with “High Notes” lecture with Steve Pederson and lobby entertainment provided by Apollo High School Orchestra directed by Kelsey Davidson.
The concert is sponsored by Swedish Match.
