The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registrations for its annual T-ball league. The league is for 3 through 6 year olds and teaches the basic fundamentals of T-ball, including batting off a tee, throwing, catching, fielding and team sportsmanship in a non-competitive atmosphere.
The league begins the week of May 2. All games will be played at the Owensboro Softball Complex located in Jack C. Fisher Park. The 3-4 year old league will play on Mondays or Tuesdays and the 5-6 year old league will play on Thursdays. Game times will be at 5:45 p.m. or 6:50 p.m. All children will play in the field and bat each inning.
The registration fee is $55 per child, and the deadline to register is March 31. Each child will receive a team T-shirt and hat. It is recommended you register early for this fun and extremely popular program.
